LUNA is delighted to present our SINGER/SONGWRITER SHOWCASE: A TRIBUTE TO PAUL KOORS as part of our Arlington Arts Grant and with the support of the Paul Koors Memorial Foundation.

Livestream: March 26, 2021 7:00-8:30pm EST • YouTube Video StreamFacebook Event
FREE 90-minute livestream with DMV-connected singer songwriters, emceed by Rob Hinkal of iLyAIMY and featuring video produced by Matthew Clowney.

This program is a combination of live performances from singer songwriters followed by pre-recorded video of each artist performing a Paul Koors song. Paul Koors was a singer songwriter who died suddenly in 2018 at the age of 38. Paul recorded two albums, “Make a Man” and “Winter’s Come and Gone”, along with a handful of unrecorded songs uploaded to his YouTube channel. Many of his songs are auto-biographical. All of them explore what it means to be a man, in work, character, deeds, and love. He was always taking stock.

Luna extends this offering of music as the first of two public music events planned for our Arlington Arts Grant (FY2020-2021). This livestream event is designed to connect and promote local singer songwriters to a wider audience, within and beyond Arlington County. The pre-recorded songs in this livestream event are scheduled to appear in an Arlington Public Television broadcast in April, air date to be determined. With this offering we aim to honor Paul’s legacy and express our sincere gratitude to the Paul Koors Memorial Foundation for their generous support—to promote both Paul’s songs and songwriters in the development of their craft.
